The art of Wendy Lefkowitz features whimsical views of the
beauty around us. A strong feeling for the glory of nature is
reflected in the many floral pieces in her portfolio. Her still
life’s combine beautiful cut flowers and cherished
possessions. Wendy’s mastery of color is reflected in the
softness of a rose petal or the magnificent brilliance of a bird
of paradise. Other subjects including formerly magnificent
autos show an artists eye for the beauty of reflected light
and the effect of age and abandonment.
Wendy has begun exploring the realm of abstract art in the
media of monoprints and collages. These two forms have
been very well received by her collectors. She has enjoyed
the freedom of expression, colors and textures available in
these media.
Educated at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York earning a
Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, Wendy moved to Ventura,
California in 1977. She has studied with several prominent
artists in the community. She is a signature member of the
Gold Coast Watercolor Society and the Buenaventura Art
Association.
Wendy is a featured artist at the annual Focus on the
Masters Studio Art Tour.
